The Eastern Enrichment Zone was one of several Agricultural Corps Enrichment Zones located on the planet Bandomeer. The Eastern Enrichment Zone contained the Enrichment Dome and an administration building, where the Meerian RonTha was employed. The AgriCorps workers stationed here were researching Dactyl, a yellow crystal that Arcona needed to consume if they were to survive on a planet other than their homeworld. The researchers hoped to incorporate the crystal into the food supply.[1]

In 44 BBY, the Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn sent his aspiring apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, to the Eastern Enrichment Zone to learn about the AgriCorps' work at the facility and to report back to him on their progress.[1]
