Echani fiber armor was an ancient body armor woven by the martial artists who practiced Echani fighting styles during the days of the Great Sith War, centuries before the Battle of Yavin. They were woven together to form armor plates which were exceptionally strong. The wearing pattern also allowed force to be distributed around the body after an impact, which somewhat dissipated the impact of the blow to neighboring fibers.

The Echani fiber armor first appeared in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. If the player fully upgrades the armor, it provides the highest protection available to the player for their adventures on Taris.
