Ecliptic was a Judicial Department Consular cruiser. It was part of a mission dispatched to Asmeru in 33 BBY by Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum to apprehend the leaders of the Nebula Front. Ecliptic and its sister ship, the Prominence, came under attack by Nebula Front forces; while the Prominence crashed onto Asmeru, Ecliptic was destroyed when it hit a mine over the planet while trying to escape. All twenty of its crew were killed.
