The Ecliptic Evaders was a mock starfighter unit invented by Derek "Hobbie" Klivian after he and fellow Imperial officer Biggs Darklighter defected to the Rebel Alliance from the Rand Ecliptic prior to the Battle of Yavin.^[1] The pilots eventually joined Red Squadron at Yavin 4.

The bold symbol of the Ecliptic Evaders adorned the flight helmet of Biggs Darklighter during his time with the Rebellion.
