Ederlathh Pallopides was the remote grand-niece of Emperor Palpatine who ended up a pawn in the struggle for Palpatine's vacant throne.

In 7 ABY, Admiral Betl Oxtroe, an officer in the Imperial Starfleet, made overtures to the New Republic Provisional Council to negotiate an end to the war between the New Republic and the Galactic Empire. She proposed the conversion of the Empire into a constitutional monarchy, with Pallopides assuming the throne as Galactic Empress and with the Provisional Council serving in place of the Imperial advisors—as Pallopides was only eleven years old, this would have effectively made the Provisional Council the actual leadership in this new proposed Empire.
Before Oxtroe got very far in her negotiations, she was assassinated by unknown killers (a later official New Republic account implicated Grand Admiral Thrawn, but this seems to have been speculation at best; the action could equally have been ordered by Palpatine, or Nom Anor, or even the New Republic itself). Pallopides, it is presumed, was left untouched; quite possibly she was never aware of the significance of the events that had gone on in her name, or what hopes Oxtroe had placed on her. Whatever happened to her, there are no further historical records dating beyond this point that mention her at all.
