In 32 BBY, Eirtae was on Naboo when the Trade Federation invaded Naboo. The Trade Federation did this in protest of the the "taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems." All of the citizens of Naboo present at that time, including Eirtae. Viceroy Nute Gunray told Amidala that he was going to force Queen Amidala to sign a treaty that allows them to stay on Naboo even though she refused to cooperate. Gunray intended to make her people suffer until she signed the treaty and forced Amidala, Governor Sio Bibble, the Naboo Security Forces and the handmaidens to walk down to the camps. Then, Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi Wan Kenobi rushed in and saved Amidala and the handmaidens and they fled to the transports so that they could go to Coruscant so Queen Amidala could plea her case to the Senate. Governor Bibble decided to stay and protect the Naboo in Amidala's place. The Jedi freed the pilots and all of them rushed into the Naboo Cruiser and blasted off. There was not enough power to get to Coruscant, so they went into another planet called Tatooine. Queen Amidal (really handmaiden Sabe) and her handmaidens stayed in the Cruiser while Jinn went out to find power. Once they got the power, Eirtae aided Amidala on Coruscant. However, the Senate proved worthless and Amidala decided to go to Naboo and free her people herself. She went to the Gungan people and begged for their help and bowed before them, prompting everyone to bow also. The Gungan leader, Boss Nass, agreed to help.Later, after planning the liberation, they sneaked into the Theed palace. Inside, they accidentally ran into Darth Maul and they agreed to let Jinn deal with them while they fight the Separatist droids. Eventually, Naboo was freed and the Trade Federation who aided the invasion were either killed or arrested. Eirtae attended Jinn's funeral, who was killed by Darth Maul during the battle. Eirtae also attended the celebration of the liberation of Naboo.
