The Eleventh Pius Dea Crusade was a religious crusade orchestrated by the Pius Dea cult against the Herglics, an ancient spacefaring species. In 11,707 BBY, over eighty years after the previous crusade, the Pius Dea-controlled Galactic Republic launched an invasion of Herglic Space to the south of the Deep Core.^[1]

Behind the scenes

The Eleventh Pius Dea Crusade first appeared in the 2012 reference guide The Essential Guide to Warfare. While the Eleventh Crusade is not mentioned explicitly in the text, the Crusade appears on a map of the Crusades and their movement across the galaxy.^[1]
