The Elite Circle was the leading group of assassins in the Assassin's Guild. To get into this elite group, a sentient had to be voted in by their peers. Members of the Circle were assigned special, large-scale missions, killing targets at the request of "big customers."[1]
During his feud with the Guild, the gunslinger Gallandro killed over half of the Circle's membership, as well as many lower-level members of the Guild.[2] The survivors offered Gallandro a position with the Guild in response; though Gallandro refused the offer, the feud did end at that point.[3]

Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook uses the term Inner Circle instead—a term which usually refers to the Imperial Ruling Council.
