Elite royal crusaders were upgraded variants of the Naboo royal crusader and were members of the Royal Naboo Security Forces. They were outfitted at Security Force Fortresses. During the Trade Federation's occupation of Naboo in 32 BBY, three elite royal crusaders were captured and held at Camp 14 near the city of Spinnaker.

The camp was raided by elements of the Gungan Grand Army, and during the raid the three crusaders and the other prisoners revolted and escaped.

Behind the scenesEdit

Elite royal crusaders appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The game's campaign was also included in its 2002 expansion pack, Clone Campaigns. They are encountered during the Gungan campaign, and the player has the option of rescuing them from prison, although it is not the primary mission objective.
