Elke Vetter was a female Human Imperial Knight. She was a friend, teacher, and bodyguard of Princess Marasiah Fel, and trained her in the ways of the Imperial Knights and the Force.
In 137 ABY, Vetter was on Socorro, protecting Fel while she secured the planet's loyalty to the Fel Empire. They were ambushed by Darth Talon, and Vetter dueled against the Sith Hand but lost her left hand and was stabbed through the right leg. Talon then searched her mind to find the Fel's location. Retrieving the information, the Sith then killed her with Force Lightning.
Marasiah felt Elke's death through the Force and sought to avenge her but Astraal Vao told her not to dishonor the Imperial Knight's sacrifice. Later, on Vendaxa, Marasiah got the chance to avenge her deceased teacher but didn't have the skills to defeat the Sith.

- "Vetter" is the antiquated German word for "cousin". Also, "Elke" is a typical German first name.
- In Star Wars Legacy 13: Ready to Die, Roan Fel tells Darth Kruhl that all Imperial Knights are equipped with cortosis gauntlets, which deactivate lightsabers on contact. However Vetter's hand is severed through her gauntlet, meaning that this policy was likely initiated following Vetter's death, assuming Fel is telling the truth.
