Emd Grahvess was considered one of the best architects in the galaxy who did not work for the Galactic Empire or Prince Xizor. He was once contracted by Gheeta to design the terminal and diplomatic reception site on Circumtore. After its construction, Gheeta planned to have Emd killed so he could never design anything else.

Emd was no fool and planned his escape. He placed a large bounty on himself before Gheeta could have him killed. Boba Fett accepted the job and rescued Emd from Circumtore. In return, Emd placed a secret reactor core in his designs.
