The Encyclopedia Galactica was a reference book of some renown, published by TriPlanetary Press shortly before the Clone Wars.
The entry for Neimoidians consisted of two words: See: Duros. This was a point of contention for the Duros themselves, most notably Duros Chief Representative Officer Hoolidan Keggle.

- The term Encyclopedia Galactica is used in several works of science fiction, most famously Isaac Asimov's Foundation series and Douglas Adams's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was also used in Cosmos, Carl Sagan's popular science book and television series.
- In all of these cases, Encyclopedia Galactica may simply be a reference to the real-world publication Encyclopædia Britannica, rather than a reference to any previous fictional use of the term.
