This was a very powerful act, in which a Force-sensitive would give a lesser force sensitive a boost in power through use of a ritual ceremony that could take place in any location, empowering the recipient with the Dark side of the Force, greatly increasing their existing powers, and creating a Disturbance that could be felt around the Galaxy. A reborn Palpatine would preform these rituals on members of his Dark Side Elite.

Behind the ScenesEdit

It is unknown how this ritual fits in the concept of Midi-chlorians as this use of the Force was first created in 1991, 8 years before midi-chlorians were introduced in The Phantom Menace. However, it can be argued that Palpatine was supercharging the existing midi-chlorians with additional energy, or willing the Force to create new ones.
