|Chronological and political information|
Ephin Sarreti was a politician in the Imperial Remnant.
Sarreti and his family were from Coruscant. He was a child at the time of the Battle of Endor, and following the fall of Coruscant to the New Republic, his family fled offworld, eventually arriving on Sartinaynian. It was there that he first entered Imperial service.
Following the arrest of Grand Moff Vilim Disra in 19 ABY for his complicity in the Caamas Document affair, the Council of Moffs appointed Sarreti to take his place as Moff of the Braxant sector, which included the Remnant's capital world, Bastion.
Sarreti's young age and experiences meant that he was not as steeped in such Imperial ideology as "Human High Culture" or the New Order. As such, he was better suited than his predecessor to govern the reformed, more-progressive Remnant, though even this open-minded Imperial admitted he was no fan of democracy.
Sarreti still served as Moff as of the Yuuzhan Vong War. He supported Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon's plan to aid the New Republic at the Battle of Ithor, arguing that it was the right thing to do. He even offered to go with Pellaeon in a military capacity, as he was still a reservist at the time, but Pellaeon declined, feeling that he needed an ally back in Imperial Space. After the Battle of Bastion, from which he escaped with a broken arm, Sarreti advocated that the Remnant align with the Galactic Alliance, as dividing would make them all easy targets.
