The Episol system, also called the Dayark system, was located in the Kathol Outback, six weeks travel from Kal'Shebbol, and was the central system of the Kathol Republic. The system contained four planets - two radiation-blasted rocky planets, a desert planet that was capable of supporting mining colonies, and a gas giant, Nepe. Nepe was orbited by a temperate moon called Dayark that was widely populated.

In 8 ABY, forces loyal to Moff Kentor Sarne engaged the Kathol Republic Navy in this system.
