Equipment is a short story featured in the paperback edition of Shatterpoint, written by Matthew Stover. It was originally published in the Hasbro Short Story Collection in July 2003. Equipment is offered as a free download on StarWars.com.

Plot

The story is "a personal account of the sub-orbital action at Haruun Kal, as reported by Auxiliary Heavy-Weapons Specialist CT-6/774."

It explains the clonetroopers' motto, "If we are good to our equipment, it will be good to us. We are the Republic's equipment." Clone troopers always fight to the end. Even after their LAAT/i gunship has been destroyed, they use what they can as they float away and fight back.
