Born and raised on the planet of Corellia, Eryk Kroogar, also known as Talonscar, was one of millions of young men who found inspiration and guidance in the exploits of Han Solo, the most famous Corellian of his time.

In an attempt to emulate his hero, Eryk 'Talonscar' Kroogar (so named for a run-in with a Corellian sand panther) immersed himself in the seedier side of Corellia and became a pirate and smuggler. In a desperate attempt to scrounge up enough collateral to buy his own ship, he took a series of ludicrously risky freelance jobs. Whether he got out of the business alive is a matter of speculation.
