The Esaga sector was a Mid Rim sector west of Hutt Space,[1] dominated—at various times before the Battle of Yavin—by either the Galactic Republic or the Hutts, with a period of Sith rule. By 137 ABY, the sector had come into the possession of Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.[2]
