"Were you just born yesterday? Or maybe your momma didn't tell you what a TIE Bomber is? We're in a war here! My Recon team has encountered unexpected numbers and can't take care of themselves right now. Now, are you going to keep jabbering or are you going to go save some men?"
―Captain Eso[src]

Eso was a male Trandoshan captain of the Alliance to Restore the Republic who conducted combat activities out of a camp in the Val'Arnos Jungle on Yavin 4 during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

Flanking the Empire

"What are you doing there looking slackjawed? We have a situation here that we can't afford to sit around with our thumbs up. Look, I need you to go flank a squad of 'troopers that have my men pinned down. Do you understand, or should I speak slower?"
―Captain Eso[src]

The male Trandoshan by the name of Eso was alive during time of the major galactic conflict known as the Galactic Civil War, during which the Alliance to Restore the Republic won a decisive victory against the Galactic Empire at the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY.[1] About 6 months later, the Rebel Alliance evacuated the moon,[2] (35:9 GrS)[3] but Eso remained embroiled in combat against the Empire while stationed out of a camp in Yavin 4's Val'Arnos Jungle. By that time, Eso held the rank of captain in the Rebel Alliance, and fought alongside several Rebel commandos, including a marine armor-clad Zabrak by the name of Yith Seenath.[1]

Behind the scenes

Eso was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online-role playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[1][4]
