Eta was a letter in the Tionese alphabet. Eta was typically used as a call sign for Imperial starfighter flight groups. TIE/ad starfighter group Eta is one such example.

It was also used in the title of the successor to the Delta-7 interceptor, the Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor.
