After the Battle of Hoth, stormtroopers took prisoner Rebel Alliance General Marutz to a prison cell on Etorasp. From there, Marutz was taken to Darth Vader's Star Destroyer to be interrogated by Vader. Luke Skywalker acquired a naval card on Etorasp to get onto the Star Destroyer. He sabotaged a critical ship component to distract Vader while he freed Marutz and the two Rebels escaped.
