Biography
Edit
Evax, a Human male Imperial officer, served as a leader in Imperial Intelligence.[2] He had a talent for accurately predicting fleet movements of the Rebel Alliance's naval forces. Additionally, Evax showed a skill for starship coordination; this ability saved vulnerable Imperial installations from enemy attack.[1]
Evax was eventually stationed aboard the first Death Star,[1] a superweapon capable of annihilating planets. In 0 BBY, as the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Rebellion raged on, the Empire discovered a hidden Rebel base on the fourth moon of the planet Yavin. The Death Star was sent to destroy the base, but before it could complete the task, the battlestation was destroyed by the Rebel pilot Luke Skywalker.[3] Evax perished in the explosion.[1]
Personality and traits
Edit
During his career as a leader in Imperial Intelligence, Evax earned a reputation for being able to predict Rebel Alliance fleet movements. He was also a skilled starship coordinator, using this ability to aid in the protection of otherwise-undefended Imperial bases that had fallen under attack.[2]
Behind the scenes
Edit
Though Officer Evax first appeared on a card for the A New Hope Limited expansion set of Decipher's Star Wars Customizable Card Game, he does not actually appear in the film A New Hope. His picture was merely one of many convincing images created artificially for cards in the SWCCG, using a scene from A New Hope as the background. Evax was later given a brief entry in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
