Excarga was a mining world in the Outer Rim Territories in relative proximity to Gall. The planet had ties to the Mining Guild.
Excarga was the site of the First and Second Battles of Excarga in 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars; in the former, the planet was captured by the Confederacy of Independent Systems; in the latter, liberated by the Galactic Republic.
The planet later fell under the influence of the Galactic Empire, and was represented in the Imperial Senate by Drextar Pym. An unknown battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire occurred here sometime during the Galactic Civil War between 0 BBY to 4 ABY.
