Exoskeleton

An exoskeleton was a large suit of armor designed to augment its wearer's strength. Often it had weapons built into it. Exoskeletons included some of the Dark trooper variants and the Light Exoskeleton and Heavy Exoskeleton.
Other examples included Clone blaze trooper armor as well as the later Imperial spacetrooper armor.

An exoskeleton was an external skeleton that many sentient and non-sentient species had, particularly insectoid species. Such notable examples were the Givin, the Geonosians, the Verpine, and the Kamarians.
