Eyeball

Eyeball was a nickname used among Rebel Alliance/New Republic pilots for the Imperial TIE/ln starfighter. It referred to the fighter's prominently spherical cockpit, which resembled a eye.
The term was still in use by the time of the Anti-Sith Insurgency (137 ABY). Cade Skywalker as well as Rogue Squadron pilots also referred to Predator-class fighters, the successor to the TIE-series, as eyeballs.
