F4-7 was a medical droid referenced to by Toryn Farr while on the GR-75 medium transport Bright Hope, shortly after the Battle of Hoth.

Behind the scenesEdit

It is unclear if F4-7 is a different medical droid than FX-7, as author M. Shayne Bell seems to inexplicably alternate between the two names when seemingly referring to one droid. It is possible that F4-7 is another name for FX-7, though this has not been established or repeated canonically in any other source.

It is likely that the two different names were simply a mistake on Bell's part:

• 2-1B remarks to Farr that F4-7 is his medical assistant, when this position is occupied most prominently by FX-7.
• All surviving members of the Bright Hope escaped the transport thanks to the help of the bounty hunters Zuckuss and 4-LOM. Only one slicer droid was left behind to erase the ship's computer. The story goes on to state that two droids were rescued in addition to the humans on board, later revealed to be 2-1B and "F4-7". This is most likely intended to be FX-7.
