The FV50 was a standard motivator unit used in service droids.

The bounty hunter 4-LOM had a device designed and installed within himself that allowed him to take the FV50 and turn it into a blaster pistol power supply. By taking this double-cylindrical object, stripping out the internal circuit and then high-grading the output power, he was able to create enough power for a few blaster bolts.
