Fanha was a celestial body[3] located in the Fanha system, a part of the Seitia sector[1] in the Western Reaches portion[2] of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] The Nineteenth Sector Army of the Galactic Republic was tasked with engaging the military forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems in Fanha's vicinity during the first campaigns of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY.[3]
In 17 BBY, the military forces of the Galactic Empire were victorious over the Iska pirates in a battle fought at Fanha as part of the Western Reaches Operation, a campaign targeting pirates and Separatist holdouts that was a part of the Imperial Reconquest of the Rim. In the wake of the battle, the pirate lord Guun Cutlax escaped to the Atravis sector.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Fanha was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas later placed the Fanha system, and therefore Fanha, in grid square K-19.[1]
