Farley 'Stony' Carson was an officer of the New Republic Defense Fleet.

An inaugural officer of the New Republic Fourth Battle Group, Commodore Carson was placed in command of Task Force Apex. When the Black Fleet Crisis required increased New Republic forces in the Koornacht Cluster, Task Force Apex was reassigned to the New Republic Fifth Battle Group. Commodore Etahn A'baht, a friend of Carson, assigned him the command of the joint Task Force Apex and Task Force Summer.

Carson died at the Battle of N'zoth when Yakez was destroyed by Yevethan fire.
