- "Fate of the Jedi is the perfect starting point for new readers to enter the Star Wars Expanded Universe; it can be daunting to come into a long-running book series. To help familiarize readers with the current characters, settings and situations, Del Rey Books is making available a downloadable PDF guide. It can serve as an introduction to the Expanded Universe, or as a refresher on the state of the galaxy as the Fate of the Jedi series begins. This introduction also includes an excerpt of Outcast."
