- "Feral, try not to draw attention to yourself."
"That won't be a problem for me, Savage." - ―Savage Opress attempts to keep his brother, Feral, out of trouble
Feral was a male Dathomirian Zabrak Nightbrother. He was the son of Kycina and the brother of both Savage Opress and Darth Maul. He was among those chosen by Nightsister Asajj Ventress to compete for the honor of being her chosen champion to aid in her campaign of vengeance against her former master, Darth Tyranus.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Feral was born the son[5] of the Human[6] Nightsister Kycina[5] on Dathomir.[1] As a Dathomirian Zabrak male, he was a Nightbrother[4] and had two older brothers,[5] Maul and Savage Opress.[4]
The Tests[]
Until 21 BBY,[3] Feral lived as one of the tribal leaders in his Nightbrother community, living closely and in admiration to his older brother Savage. He, his brother Savage, their father figure Viscus and several other male Zabraks lived untouched by the Clone Wars until Asajj Ventress, under influence of Mother Talzin came and selected several of them to compete for her.[4]
Feral, along with his brother, was nominated to be taken to the Nightsisters to be transformed into a true warrior. He and only a few other of his kin were selected to enter the trials.[4]
Death[]
With his brother's help, Feral survived the tests, but at Savage's request, was spared after failing in the final challenge. Shortly after Savage was taken by Asajj Ventress, Feral was taken prisoner by the Nightsisters, and brought before his brother, who had been transformed by the Nightsister's magic. Although Feral tried desperately to appeal to Savage's love for him, the mutated Nightbrother's mind had been twisted by the Nightsister's spells, and, disgusted by Feral's weakness, paid no heed. Finally, at Ventress' command and with only a moment's hesitation, Savage snatched Feral up and used his newfound strength to break Feral's neck, murdering his brother[4] in a monstrous display of cruelty[1] and passing his final test.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Feral first appeared in the episode "Monster" in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where he was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.[4] In the script of the episode Feral, Viscus and Savage were the only Nightbrothers to be named.[7]

Since Star Wars: The Clone Wars Chronological Episode Order on StarWars.com (backup link) places "Monster" between those two episodes, it can be concluded that "Monster" also takes place in 21 BBY.
