The fero xyn was a creature native to the Yuuzhan Vong galaxy. Like all other life forms related to the Yuuzhan Vong, the fero xyn had no connection with the Force. Yuuzhan Vong Shapers combined this creature's genetic material with those of the vornskr to create the voxyn.

The fero xyn spat a poison similar to the voxyn.^[1]
