Fighter Red, otherwise known as Red E Squadron, was a squadron of E-wing escort starfighters assigned to the Endurance-class fleet carrier Intrepid of the New Republic Defense Fleet Fifth Battle Group.

It was the elite interceptor squadron of the carrier, and General Etahn A'baht's personal E-wing was stationed in Fighter Red.

Immediately prior to the Battle of Doornik 319, Fighter Red was one of the squadrons prepared for immediate launch aboard the Intrepid, and when the Intrepid entered the system, Fighter Red was part of the fleet carrier's fighter screen, and presumably participated in the ensuing battle during the Yevethan ambush. Later, during the preparations for the final assault on N'zoth, General A'baht offered command of the squadron to Luke Skywalker for the Battle of N'zoth, but Skywalker demurred.
