The Filar-Nitzan, or Filar Nitzan, were a polymorphic sapient species indigenous to DNX-N1.

An almost unknown species of gaseous beings, with individuals resembling singular-colored mist or clouds, with two eyes commonly of the opposed color: Green Filar-Nitzans had red eyes; blue Filar-Nitzans had orange eyes, etc.
Due to their nature, they could change shape fast enough to avoid melee damage; sometimes, they could even avoid blaster damage, although this required a difficult-to-achieve skill.
Xenobiologists believed only 400 members of the species existed.

Commonly considered a legend, they were also known as cloud demons and gas devils.
Most xenobiologists were unaware of this species's existence. Those that were aware believed that there were only some four hundred individuals in existence.
