The Plasma Shell S3 shield generator was a starship component that first appeared in the first expansion to the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed, which was released on October 27, 2004. The shield generator required a player in the game to have level four ship equipment certification before it could added to a starship owned by the player. It could be randomly awarded as loot to a player who destroyed an enemy starship.
