Aspects of the Force, The Light and the Dark was a book written by the Jedi Knight Tasiele Shan, descendant of the famous Jedi Bastila Shan and Revan and mother of Satele Shan. Tasiele was exiled by the Jedi Order for challenging the Order's views on attachment and marriage, and when the Order attempted to retrieve her from her exile many years later, they found only her cliffside dwelling and a series of journals dedicated to her daughter. The journals were passed to Tasiele's daughter Satele, and Satele—who later became Grand Master—brought Aspects of the Force with her on her self-imposed exile to the planet Odessen.[1]
