- "When we found out it was Star Wars, it was amazing to know that we'd be putting people who had flown military aircraft into X-wings fighting for the Rebel Alliance."
- ―Benjamin Hartley
Benjamin Hartley is an English former helicopter pilot and military aviation advisor[1] who portrayed Harb Binli in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.[2]
Having realized that action scenes in movies look better when they are acted out by former armed forces personnel, Hartley founded Military Film Services, which provides extras that are ex-military or even still serving. One day, his company received a call from an assistant director who needed actors with cockpit experience for a "major secret project." Hartley and his employees were amazed to discover that it was for a Star Wars movie.[1]
