Bloggin-oil lamps were a type of lamp that burned bloggin-oil as a fuel source in order to provide illumination. The residents of the village of Tuanul on the desert planet Jakku made their own bloggin-oil lamps, also raising bloggins from which the oil could be sourced.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
A bloggin-oil lamp was first created as a prop for the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which was released on December 18, 2015. The prop was not identified in the film but received a name in the reference book Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and released in conjecture with the film.
