The Bonadan alloy heavy suit was a type of armor utilized by various military forces, including the Republic Navy, during the time of the Jedi Civil War and Dark Wars. Developed by the Outer Rim planet of Bonadan, the crimson armor offered solid protection in a wide variety of combat scenarios, given the heavy material used in its construction. In spite of this, it was classified as light armor.[1]

Its production and sale, alongside that of various other small arms and armors, were largely intended by Bonadan as a means to finance its exploration of the galaxy, as it was still a developing society at the time of the Old Sith Wars.[1]

In 3956 BBY, during the Jedi Civil War, Kebla Yurt owned a set of the armor and sold it at her emporium on the Outer Rim planet of Taris. Mika Dorin also owned and sold a set in Dreshdae, on the Outer Rim Sith world of Korriban. In 3951 BBY, During the Dark Wars, many different vendors across the Galaxy owned and sold the armor.

The armor first appeared in the 2003[3] roleplaying game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic,[1] and later in its 2004[4] sequel, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.[2]

Because of the randomized items and vendors in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, the armor has a chance to be found of several planets, but is not guaranteed on any. The vendors selling the item include Samhan Dobo on Telos IV, Oondar and Fassa on Nar Shaddaa, Kex on Dxun, Margar and Gegorran on Onderon, and Adum Larp on Dantooine.[2]

The Bonadan alloy heavy suit is identical in appearance to that of the Echani shield suit, so it is unknown which armor was worn by Admiral Carth Onasi during the Battle of Telos IV.[2]

In-game, the armor is classified as "light armor", and its description reads: "Bonadan is an emerging industrial society financing their exploration of the galaxy through production of small arms and armor. They favor heavy materials offering solid defense."[1]
