The C-13 prototype droid was a four-legged prototype battle droid designed in the Research and Development sector of the Okara Droid Factory on the planet Balmorra. It was armed with two powerful blaster cannons on its arms. During the Cold War, Imperial forces invaded the factory and activated the R&D department's machinery to create the droid from the designs, and after it was destroyed its datacore was recovered for study.[1]

The C-13 Prototype Droid appears as the main boss of the Area mission "Research and Development" in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which occurs in the Research and Development area of the Okara Droid Factory—a Heroic area in the Imperial version of Balmorra.[1]
