Kerri Lessev held the rank of Major in the Destabilization branch within the Bureau of Operations of Imperial Intelligence. However, she secretly worked to destabilize the Galactic Empire from within.
Biography[]
Kerri Lessev was born on the planet Alderaan around 29 BBY. Her parents were diplomats and while she was still an infant her parents moved to Coruscant. She grew up in the peace and safety of an upper-class family.[1]
As the Galactic Empire strengthened its rule, Lessev's parents became opponents of Emperor Palpatine's methods and they were arrested and presumably executed. Palpatine gathered the children of those he executed and in a carefully staged media event he told them that their parents had been killed by terrorists.[1]
Lessev became a ward of the state and on the insistence of Crueya Vandron they were integrated into the growing COMPNOR SAGroup and received an education in Imperial bureaucracy, culture, military operations, and intelligence.[1]
Through tests Kerri was recommended for Imperial Intelligence and was placed in Infiltration training. After completing Infiltration training she was assigned to Intelligence for indoctrination and double-agent training before finally being transferred to Destabilization. In this capacity she worked to play out the Imperial Advisors and Imperial Nobles against each other and keep them from plotting against the Emperor.[1]
Before she was sent out in the field she reviewed Rebel propaganda and became swayed by the speeches of Mon Mothma and Princess Leia Organa and came to sympathize with the Rebels and their cause.[1]
She carried out an operation in the Wyloff sector against Moff Varnier. While other Destab and Assassination agents had been working directly for Moff Varnier, Lessev felt loyalty only to the Emperor and tipped off the External Communications security. This resulted in total upheaval for the sector as corruption was rooted out.[1]
Even though Kerri did not join the Rebel Alliance she tried to help them by destabilizing the Empire from within. She caused internal dissension and conflict and instead of exposing traitors, she worked to remove the Empire's most competent and capable officers.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Lessev was a Human female who was in a period of emotional turmoil. After her meeting with Emperor Palpatine Kerri became very loyal to the Empire but when she heard Mon Mothma and Leia Organa's speeches she was swayed to their cause and became very confused about her loyalties. She did not trust anyone which was why she did not join the Rebels.[1]
Skills and abilities[]
Lessev was highly skilled in a wide range of areas. Shew as a skilled combatant who was skilled in blasters, especially Hold-out blasters. She could also use melee weapons, thrown weapons and vehicle weapons with skill. She was exceptionally capable at dodging incoming blaster fire as well.[1]
She had exposure to a variety of different transportation methods and specialized in transports and repulsorlift operations but she could also pilot starfighters, capital ships and swoops. She could also handle most starship stations including shields, sensors, communications, and starship gunnery.[1]
As an intelligence agent she was well versed in a variety of alien cultures and languages. She was very knowledgeable about the internal operations of Imperial Intellligence.[1]
Lessev was adept at social interactions and was masterful at manipulating and persuading others to follow her commands. Finally she was very skilled in security systems and stealth operations.[1]
Equipment[]
Lessev carried a BlasTech DL-44 heavy blaster pistol, a Merr-Sonn Quick-6 Hold-out blaster pistol and a Vibro-shiv. She also carried a comlink and a datapad. She had a wardrobe full of Shimmersilk gowns and through Imperial Intelligence had access to almost unlimited numbers of Imperial Cash Vouchers.[1]

Kerri Lessev was designed by David R. Tulo for Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was published by West End Games in 1994. She was illustrated by Mike Vilardi.[1]
