A cognition throne was a variant of the cognition hoods used in coralskippers. They were used by Yuuzhan Vong warriors to command starships and even entire fleets while in combat. They were often used in conjunction with blaze bugs, which it communicated with via hundreds of fine, flashing antennae.
Cognition thrones were the size of a landspeeder and stood on six stubby legs. At the top was the neural cusp which connected to the occupant's head with the occupant's arms fitting into specialized arm sacs for additional control. If one was skilled enough when joining with a cognition throne, one could be completely immersed in the entire strategic situation.
