The zucca boar or zucca pig was a large pig species native to the planet Tatooine.[1] A muscular beast, it was slightly larger than the average womp rat, but not nearly as dexterous.[3] Although the creature was herbivorous,[1] it had thick skin and dangerous tusks.[3] Nevertheless, the animal was often considered as as an example of easy prey.[2][4]

During the Galactic Civil War, Jabba the Hutt's cook, Porcellus, used zucca meat to make zucca fruit pastry.[5]
In 1 ABY, the proprietors of the Aerie Casino featured an animal fight between a zucca boar and a womp rat as part of their grand-opening celebration. The womp rat, though smaller, won the contest.[3]
The comparison to a zucca pig was also used as an insult.[2]

Zucca boars appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[6]
