The Class-4T3 power generator was a generator manufactured by Eksoan and used primarily used to power an E-Web heavy repeating blaster.
Description[]
The Class-4T3 power generator was a power unit that connected to the E-Web heavy repeating blaster via a three-meter long power conduit that attached to a connector on the underside of the weapon's TR-62 Autocushion Tripod. The Class-4T3 was equipped with an advanced Gk3 Cryocooler cooling unit to prevent it from overheating and causing a potentially fatal overload.[2]
While a gunner fired the weapon, the accompanying Class-4T3 power generator was generally overseen by a second crew member. The crew member's job was to supervise the generator's power flow to the E-Web and adjust it as necessary to prevent an overload. E-Web deployment on the battlefield took about fifteen minutes, especially if the Class-4T3 was "cold"; some Imperial crews would attempt to cut down on this set-up time by pre-charging the generators but that left the Class-4T3 more likely to suffer a power surge.[2]
The generator could be set to a "preset" mode that allowed a single gunner to operator the weapon without the need for a second crew member. In this mode, the Class-4T3's power flow was keep well within safe operating temperatures but at the cost of reducing the attached E-Web's rate of fire.[2]
