"Working for Lt. Col. Quelsh is an honor that I would be hesitant to relinquish."
―Edbr Yamagh, to a spacer[1]

Edbr Yamagh was a male Human that lived on Corellia at the time of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography[]

"I'm speechless. I would never in a million, billion years have suspected the Lt. Col. capable of something like this. It would appear that working for him was much less of an honor than I once thought."
―Edbr Yamagh speaking of Wilfred Quelsh[1]

By the time following the Battle of Yavin, Edbr Yamagh worked as an aide to retired CorSec officer Lt. Col. Wilfred Quelsh in Tyrena.[1]

In 1 ABY,[2] Quelsh's Corellian Medal of Honor was stolen and Yamagh helped with the search. When Quelsh asked an independent agent to help in the investigation of the theft, Yamagh pointed the spacer to a group of local thugs known as Braggan's Fist. The agent managed to successfully solve the case of the stolen medal and found proof that Quelsh had framed former CorSec officer Kal Braggan for a crime that Quelsh had committed and that he had later murdered Braggan. Yamagh was left speechless by Quelsh's crimes, as he had always considered it an honor to work for a highly decorated officer like Quelsh.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Edbr Yamagh was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Edbr Yamagh was added to the game with the update named "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives," published on June 8, 2006.[4] He could be found in the city of Tyrena on Corellia. Yamagh was part of the quest "CorSec Case Files: Stolen Honor" which was part of the Legacy quest line, the longest quest line in the game.[1]

  2. According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
