The Fifteenth Pius Dea Crusade was a religious crusade orchestrated by the Pius Dea cult and Supreme Chancellor Contispex XI against the Baragwins. In 11,591 BBY, the Pius Dea–controlled Galactic Republic launched an invasion of Old Barag.[1] Nearby planets, such as Kinyen, were targeted during the crusade as well on the grounds of religious liberty. The Gran formed the Tayan League from military veterans of the Doellin religion to resist the proselytizing of Contispex.[2]

The Fifteenth Pius Dea Crusade first appeared in the 2012 reference guide The Essential Guide to Warfare. While the Fifteenth Crusade is not mentioned explicitly in the text, the Crusade appears on a map of the Crusades and their movement across the galaxy.[1]
