Continuity[]
Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy presented a new location for Jabba's Palace, which had historically been placed at the southwestern edge of the Western Dune Sea—a location far to the southwest of Mos Eisley, Anchorhead, and the Jundland Wastes. Inside the Worlds moved the Palace and the Great Pit of Carkoon to the southwestern edge of the Northern Dune Sea instead, placing it at the northeastern edge of the Great Mesra Plateau and significantly closer to other cities. However, a notation on the map of the Palace mistakenly states that it leads to the Western Dune Sea and the Pit of Carkoon.
