The Ithorian defender armor was a type of Ithorian armor used during the Galactic Civil War.[2] It offered protection against kinetic damage as well as from energy-based weapons like blasters.[1] The complete armor set included helmet, chest plate, left & right biceps, left & right bracers, gloves, leggings and boots. It was available in several different colors. The Ithorian defender armor was clearly designed to fit an Ithorian body type and could exclusively be worn by members of this species. Two other models of Ithorian armor were the Ithorian sentinel and the Ithorian guardian armors.[2]
A variant of this armor, the Ithorian defender forest camouflage armor, was designed to help Ithorians blend with forest environments.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The Ithorian defender armor appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] The Ithorian defender armor was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 11," on October 21, 2004.[5]
