- "Jennica, is that a Juggernaut I see, ready for us to deploy? I remember, you gave us one right after we signed up."
"Indeed it is, Saponza. A Juggernaut is highly durable, and like the AT-AP, it will aim itself at shield generators and other base defenses." - ―Saponza and Jennica Pierce
Juggernauts were ten-wheeled tanks used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Equipped with a lethal top-mounted laser cannon, they were highly durable and could punch through strong defenses, including shield generators. However, Juggernauts were slow and vulnerable to rocket turrets and massed heavy infantry.[1]
Characteristics[]
Juggernauts were large gray, white and orange-colored tanks that moved around on ten grooved wheels attached to the vehicle's undercarriage using suspension.[1]
Role[]

History[]
Juggernauts were used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, a galaxy-wide conflict fought between them and the Galactic Empire. They saw extensive use by the Tatooine rebel cell during the Battle for Tatooine.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Juggernauts first appeared in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, a 2001 Star Wars Legends real time strategy game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by LucasArts, where they referred to as Rebel attack tanks.[2] They became canon when they appeared in Star Wars: Commander, a mobile game published by Disney Interactive[1] that was released on August 21, 2014.[3]
Chris Menezes, a developer on Star Wars: Commander, revealed that inspiration for the Juggernaut's design in the mobile video game was from the HAVw A5 Juggernaut, and then continuing to work with the Lucasfilm Story Group. Ideas for the vehicle's development were how the Juggernaut would come across from the Clone Wars to the Imperial Era and Galactic Civil War. The design was then provided to a concept artist who provided the final design, albeit without the weaponry. The design was then presented to the Story Group, who provided discussion on the type of weaponry the Rebel Alliance would use.[4]
