KL-443 was an Imperial stormtrooper on the Star Destroyer Devastator in 0 ABY. The trooper left his post in the detention bay to check out sounds coming from one of the cells. Two Rebel agents, Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker, broke out of their cell in front of him. The latter, armed with a lightsaber, attacked KL-443, killing him.
